Description about grade SS 347:
Stainless steel 347 alloy is having little bit
well-enhanced corrosion resistance ability over the other
types of grades in a highly oxidizing atmosphere. This SS 347
grade is stabilized by alloying elements such as columbium and
tantalum that is a stabilized austenitic nickel and chromium
added stainless steel alloy. It is created with the aim of
providing the 18/8 type alloy with a very well improvised
resistance ability to IGC. As this grade is having
well-enhanced corrosion resistance ability, particularly at
the oxidizing atmosphere, it has become possible due to the
addition of tantalum and columbium in an appropriate
proportion. This alloy is considered for the applications that
need intermittent heating in temperature that ranges 427 Deg C
to 899 Deg C.
