Product overview:
Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 are solid solution of commercially pure wrought alloys. The elemental restrictions of both alloys are combined into one, dual-certified chemistry, resulting in a single alloy with the desired characterstics of both alloys. Application and uses:
Nickel 200/201 is used heavily in the chemical and electronics industries. It is also used in the aerospace,petrochemical, power generation and marine engineering industries. Typical applications where nickel 200/201 is used include electronic and electroplating components, combustion boats, food processing equipment, synthetic fiber production, salt production where sodium hydroxide and fluorine are used.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment:
All hot working and cold working practice can be utilized when shaping Nickel 200/201. Hot working temperature between 1200 degree F to 2250 degree F with heavy forming to be performed at temperatures.

Our Alloy 200/201 tube products can be offered in seamless, welded or welded and cold drawn form, depending on the alloy you require. Our Alloy 200/201 seamless and welded tubes size range starts at 1/2” NB or OD size and goes up to 6″ NB and OD.

We can offer Nickel Alloy 201 Tubing in random lengths of up to 6meters long or cut to a specific length as ordered. Nickel 200/201 pipes and tubes are largely used for piping in the caustic soda, food processing and hydrochloric plants. 

With regards to the difference between Nickel 200 and Nickel 201, Nickel 201 carries lower carbon content resulting in lower hardness. The lower carbon content in Nickel 201 also makes the material more resistant to graphitization and also helps in preventing embrittlement. Nickel 200 is generally used for service up to 570° F (300 °C) to 600° F, meanwhile Nickel 201 is generally approved for service up to 1200° F to 1230° F.
